About me

I am an Advanced Placement Social Worker (APSW) who enjoys collaborating on a multidisciplinary team to help patients and their families build coping skills by providing virtual and in-person therapy sessions. I am a life-long learner and regularly take courses on best practices in my field to be best informed on how to support patients along their journey. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and certified in EMDR. I am dedicated to individualized treatment based off of each patient's needs to overcome a variety of challenges including grief/loss, anxiety, depression, trauma, and anger using a strengths-based approach.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. I am a cancer survivor/"thriver" and was inspired to pursue my true passion for helping others after my journey with cancer ignited my perspective about life. I then earned a master’s degree in social work from Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois, and became a certified social worker by the Wisconsin Marriage and Family Therapy, Professional Counseling, and Social Work (MPSW) Joint Board. I also pursued my certification in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) by PESI (formerly known as Professional Education Systems Institute) to help patients move through trauma. Outside of work, I loves horses, learning new things, exploring new hobbies, spending time outdoors, being creative, and engaging with my young child and family.
