About me
I am a prelicensed, master 's-level therapist with experience helping clients find empowerment in themselves and their ability to make change in their lives. I often work with clients who have anxiety, depression, complex and/or historic trauma, interpersonal challenges, and life transitions.
I am a WOC and queer therapist and strive to provide services to those with underrepresented and marginalized identities. I have completed two internships and have recently started my own practice, Embodied Alignment Therapy, LLC, though I am contracted with Quality Counseling Services in Medford, OR. I offer weekly, biweekly, monthly, and as-needed sessions via Telehealth and have immediate availability to begin working with you.
I am dedicated to creating a safe, warm, and compassionate space for clients to feel heard, validated, and supported. Through my work, clients often rediscover what empowerment means to them and how they can make sustainable, desired changes in their lives. Collaboration of care and goals is essential in my practice as my clients and I work together to create a supportive plan and environment that best fits their individual needs and wants. Clients often see improvement in their symptoms within a few weeks to a few months when working with me, but there isn't an emphasis placed on a timeline for healing. I go at the pace that best fits the client.
I take an integrative approach when it comes to interventions and incorporate and adapt various modalities and techniques. Some of the modalities I take from are Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Somatic Therapy and Techniques, Parts Work, and Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy. I strive to practice cultural humility and trauma-informed care as I understand that traditional Western therapeutic practices may not work for every client, nor does it account for the breadth of experiences we have as living human beings.
I work with a variety of clientele as well. I often have clients who have marginalized and/or underepresented identities (e.g., BIPOC, LGBTQIA+) and significant mental health issues. Some of my clients have been college or graduate students, in the workforce, unemployed, and/or facing other crises. If, for whatever reason, a client needs a higher level of care I am unable to provide, then the referral process will be handled with care and respect, and I will be with the client every step to decrease any potential frustration that comes along with transitions of care.
I look forward to working with you!
