About me
I am a mental health/ addiction counselor, worked with individuals with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, anger, trauma, grief, ADHD, and family problems.
I utilize the integrated approach (e.g., CBT, DBT, Trauma-focused Motivational, Existential, Humanistic, Solution-focused approaches), which enable me to customize treatment for each client’s needs. Through developing a therapeutic relationship, clients can share their feelings and thoughts in a safe environment, learn assertive communication methods, find their strengths, and control and cope with negative emotions, such as anger and frustration. In family therapy, I facilitate communication between a client and family members to establish a healthy trustful relationship.
My clinical population ranges from children, teenagers, and adults. I speak Japanese.
We see the world through our subjective eyes and the past – including emotional - experiences.
