About me
I am a licensed clinical social worker dedicated to helping teens and adults cope with anxiety, depression, and life transitions.
Hi, I’m Sabrina Kamberis, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to helping teens and adults navigate life's challenges. As a clinical therapist, I provide therapy services tailored to the unique needs of my clients. I focus on empowering my clients through a strengths-based and person-centered approach.
My role is to understand each client's unique life experiences and support them in changing their narratives and achieving their goals. I strive to be empathetic, warm, and approachable. I grew up in Northern Virginia and earned my master's degree in clinical social work from George Mason University. I completed my clinical practicum at INOVA Fairfax Hospital, where I performed biopsychosocial assessments and addressed the complex needs of individuals in palliative care.
I am particularly passionate about supporting the social and emotional needs of emerging college students and adults of all ages as they navigate various life changes. Whether planned or unexpected, these transitions can present a range of emotional and social challenges crucial to address for overall well-being.
My sessions are collaborative and incorporate evidence-based practices tailored to your specific needs. Whether seeking a supportive ear to listen and validate your feelings or are ready to explore deeper issues and work toward meaningful goals, I am committed to creating a space where you feel truly understood. While you cannot change what has already happened, you have the power to write the next chapter of your life. You can achieve anything you want, take control of your life, and choose your narrative.
I have experience working with individuals who are dealing with anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, life transitions, relationship issues, and disordered eating. I employ an integrated approach, drawing on evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Narrative Therapy, to promote positive change.
