About me
I bring an empathetic, nonjudgmental approach to therapy and strive to create an environment grounded in safety and support. I believe my role is to help clients uncover personal strengths, recognize patterns of thinking, and develop coping strategies that make daily life feel more manageable. I am dedicated to each individual and, when appropriate, gently challenge clients to grow into the best versions of themselves.
Clients can also expect moments of laughter in our work together. Therapy is a space to process life’s challenges, but it is also a place to celebrate successes and share positive moments. Savoring wins and finding humor when needed can be a powerful part of the healing process.
I am a motivated therapist with a strong passion for helping individuals recognize personal strengths and the ability to create positive change. I have four years of experience working in outpatient settings with a wide range of populations and needs. I place a high value on ethics, professionalism, confidentiality, and honoring the dignity and worth of each person. I earned a Master’s degree from Rutgers University School of Social Work in 2017 and remain actively involved with the National Association of Social Workers. Outside of clinical work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, starting the day with coffee, being near the water, playing sports, relaxing with a good show, and unwinding with a loyal companion—my dog, Dunkin.
My clinical approach incorporates cognitive behavioral strategies to help challenge unhelpful patterns of thinking that often contribute to anxiety and depression. I support clients in exploring how upbringing and trauma history may influence current challenges, while also providing education around cycles of abuse, stages of grief, and the benefits of mindfulness. I focus on listening closely, offering empathy, and working collaboratively to process trauma and build insight into personal behaviors and relational patterns. Above all, authenticity matters deeply in my work—I strive to be a genuine, present, and supportive human on the other side of the room or screen, building trust and connection throughout the therapeutic process.
