About me
I help adults navigate anxiety, trauma, and life transitions so they can heal, grow, and move forward with clarity and well-being.
Hello, I’m Rowan Kelley (he/him), a Licensed Professional Counselor in Michigan and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Indiana. I founded Luminous Minds, LLC to support adults navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, depression, and major life transitions.
Many of my clients come to me feeling stuck—overwhelmed by emotions, caught in painful patterns, or uncertain about their next steps. Others reach out during times of significant change, like stepping into a new role, recovering from loss, or reevaluating their direction in life. What they share is a desire for clarity, tools that actually work, and a safe space where they can grow into a more authentic, fulfilling version of themselves.
My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and practical. In our work together, you can expect:
Safety and support: a nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and validated.
Personalized tools: strategies tailored to your needs that you can practice between sessions.
Evidence-based methods like EMDR for processing trauma, CBT for reshaping unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, Motivational Interviewing to strengthen your motivation for change, and mindfulness practices to help you stay grounded.
Therapy with me is more than just talking about feelings. Clients often describe leaving sessions feeling calmer, more motivated, and better equipped to handle life outside the therapy room. My goal is always to help you take the progress we make together and carry it forward into your daily life.
My path into counseling grew from both professional curiosity and personal experience—I’ve seen firsthand how powerful therapy can be in reshaping one’s sense of self and possibility. Over the years, I’ve worked in community mental health, university counseling, and other service settings, experiences that have deepened my belief in people’s capacity for change and resilience.
If you’re seeking relief from overwhelming emotions, tools to navigate life’s transitions, or simply a safe space to better understand yourself, I would be honored to walk alongside you. I invite you to schedule a free 20-minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit.
