About me
Do you find yourself overthinking situations, worrying about your relationships, struggling with confidence, or feeling stuck in patterns that you would like to change?
Perhaps you understand what you should do, but find yourself repeatedly thinking, feeling or behaving in ways that leave you frustrated, anxious or emotionally overwhelmed.
You don't have to work through this alone.
I am a qualified Transactional Analysis counsellor and a credentialed member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I offer a warm, empathetic and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, relationships and experiences openly and at your own pace.
I have experience supporting clients with anxiety, stress, depression, relationship difficulties, self-esteem and life challenges. I am particularly interested in helping clients understand the patterns that can develop throughout our lives and how these patterns can influence the way we see ourselves, relate to others and respond to difficult situations.
My approach
My work is primarily client-centred, meaning that we begin with what matters to you. I draw on Transactional Analysis alongside humanistic, cognitive-behavioural and psychodynamic perspectives, depending on your individual needs.
Transactional Analysis can be particularly helpful when you find yourself asking:
"Why do I keep reacting this way?"
"Why do I keep ending up in the same type of relationship or situation?"
"Why do I know what I want to do, but struggle to actually do it?"
Together, we can begin to understand these patterns and explore healthier and more helpful ways of responding.
Therapy is not about me telling you what you should do. It is about creating a safe space in which you can develop greater self-awareness, make informed choices and move towards the changes that are meaningful to you.
What you can expect from me
I will listen without judgment, help you make sense of what you are experiencing, and work collaboratively with you to identify what you would like to change.
Some clients initially come to therapy because they feel anxious, overwhelmed or stuck. Others may know that something isn't working but aren't quite sure what needs to change. Wherever you are starting from, we can take the time to understand what is happening and what you need.
Taking the first step towards counselling can feel difficult. Reaching out is already a meaningful step towards understanding yourself and creating change.
I would be pleased to work alongside you on that journey.
