As a licensed clinical social worker, my commitment is toward helping people integrate their entire sense of Self: somatically, spiritually, and emotionally in relation to others, while removing all obstacles to such integration like anxiety, depression, & relationship problems to name a few.

I specialize most in working with clients who have experienced trauma: deep pain related to loss or abandonment, traumatic experiences from childhood or adolescence, like abuse, neglect or sexual abuse... experiences that impacted their sense of trust in themselves, or left them feeling alone and disconnected from others. I like to help clients get "out of their heads" and focus more on the "here and now" of what's happening in their lives. By helping them identify where they are stuck, they can then learn to change the behaviors and the actual beliefs that got them there, or that may still be holding them back.

So, my therapeutic approach is collaborative, and integrates every aspect of your experience that got you to your current place in relation to the world around you: your thoughts, the way that those thoughts manifest in your body and in your actions, as well as all of the emotions that get in the way of seeing things clearly. We will work together to stitch your life experiences together in a way that makes sense, so you can then figure out what it is that's stopping you from moving forward, while also healing those experiences and letting go of any pain from your past.
