About me

About Me

Hi, I’m Rochelle — a therapist and registered member of the BACP. I support adults experiencing anxiety, self-doubt, identity struggles, relationship difficulties, and the lasting impact of past or childhood trauma. I have a special interest in cultural identity and Mixed-identity experiences, and I’m passionate about helping people feel seen, grounded, and safe in who they are.

Many of the people I work with are caring, capable individuals who appear to be “holding it all together,” yet inside feel overwhelmed, uncertain, or disconnected from themselves. If that resonates with you, you’re not alone — and you don’t have to navigate it by yourself.

My work is rooted in empathy, cultural sensitivity, and deep respect for your lived experience. I believe you already hold the capacity for growth and healing — therapy simply helps you reconnect with it.

Experience & Background

I hold a degree in counselling and have extensive training in:

• Trauma-informed therapy
• Cultural identity and Mixed-race identity work
• Self-compassion and shame-resilience approaches

I’ve supported clients through anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, grief, identity confusion, life transitions, and unresolved emotional wounds. Alongside therapy, I also deliver talks and workshops on equality, diversity, and inclusion, with a particular focus on identity, belonging, and self-acceptance.

My Approach

I work primarily from a person-centred perspective, grounded in warmth, authenticity, and non-judgement. I also integrate:

• CBT techniques — to help reduce anxiety and challenge unhelpful thoughts
• Attachment-informed therapy — to explore relationship patterns and emotional safety
• Jungian-informed exploration — to support self-discovery and meaning-making

Together, we’ll look not only at what you’re experiencing now, but also at the underlying patterns and past experiences that may be shaping your present-day feelings and relationships — always at your pace, and always collaboratively.

How Therapy With Me Can Help

Through our work, you may find yourself:

• Understanding yourself with greater clarity and compassion
• Feeling less anxious and emotionally overwhelmed
• Healing the emotional impact of past experiences
• Building healthier, more secure relationships
• Strengthening your sense of identity, belonging, and worth
• Reconnecting with your resilience, values, and voice

Therapy is your space — somewhere safe to explore, question, feel, release, and grow. It would be a privilege to walk alongside you as you create a life that feels more grounded, authentic, and aligned with who you truly are.
