About me
My name is Robin
I completed my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at California Southern University, Master's degree from Webster University in Clinical Counseling, and Bachelor's degree from Rollins College in Psychology.
I am a licensed mental health counselor in private practice in Florida.
I completed my internship providing psychological services for teens and young mothers in a pregnancy program, as well as working as a substance abuse counselor with adults. Upon completion of my Master's, I went straight into private practice.
I am a former high school psychology teacher. I serve as a general psychology and basic counseling skills adjunct instructor at Eastern Florida State College and I teach various level undergraduate and graduate level courses at South College.
My area of focus in my practice is on anxiety and depression. I work mainly with people who are feeling stuck and have a negative outlook on life. My goal is to help people gain clarity in their situations and build the skills to find meaning and purpose in their lives.
I use an eclectic approach to therapy. With a mix of various CBT techniques to challenge many of those illogical thoughts that plague many people, with a mix of mindfulness activities, I find that my clients do very well with these two modalities, when appropriate. I take each client as a very unique individual, so once we meet, I can get a better idea of what the client may need as far as treatment approaches.
There is nothing more rewarding than guiding someone through their journey into wellness!
