About me
I am an experienced licensed professional counselor who is committed to helping teens and adults cope with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship struggles, and a variety of other issues. One of my core beliefs as a therapist is that all clients have the power inside themselves to achieve the change that they desire. My role as a therapist is to walk alongside my clients to uproot that and help the client learn how to use that internal power to get them to become the best version of themselves.
I have been practicing professionally since 2018. I use a variety of therapy modalities that help clients worth through their struggles, improve self-esteem, increase effective communication habits with others, and process some of life's most difficult and traumatic events. I'm trained in CBT, DBT, and am EMDR certified. The combination of these modalities put into practice can help potential clients gain mindfulness and awareness of how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are all connected as well as how to change them in order to get the desired results. EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing which has been clinically proven to help clients work through trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, and a variety of other issues. My style can be direct and compassionate while also incorporating humor because that's part of my personality.
