About me
I offer tweens and teens the chance to incorporate tools where they can address problems and develop mastery over the harder situations rather than parents "fixing it".
Tweens and teens can be perplexing. As parents it probably feels like an uphill battle to communicate let alone co-exist in the same air space. This can be very frustrating and worrisome and you may question whether you will say or do something wrong that will shut them down even more. There are times when nothing feels like it is working out right with them and you may be starting to feel discouraged. The intense social challenges of this age (10-24) find them dealing with teasing, bullying, exclusion and marginalization in schools, with friends, and through sports and other activities.
They are being introduced to social media at earlier ages where these behaviors are easier and more underhanded. I specialize in working with tweens, teens, and young adults transitioning to independence, and work through the inevitable social challenges and changes life brings. They may have refused to “talk with someone” or tried w/o feeling connected.
I offer them the chance to incorporate tools where they can address the problems and develop mastery over the harder situations rather than parents "fixing it". We will work on goals together whether it is to manage emotions in social situations, develop skills like resilience, social and emotional intelligence and compassion for "self" and life. Reach out!
