About me
I am a LLPC in the state of Michigan. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Alabama A&M University and my Master of Art in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Siena Heights University. I have over 20 years of experience working in the mental health field and have spent the past 25 years on my own healing journey after surviving severe physical child abuse. Trying to overcome this magnitude of trauma forced me on a personal journey of forgiveness, acceptance, self-love and commitment to heal my inner child. I learned and developed the skills needed to embrace life challenges and has taught the same skills, therapeutic techniques and successful treatment modalities to others.
I offer both faith-based and non-faith-based counseling services, to allow clients to heal in a space that aligns with their personal values and beliefs. As a Counselor, I see my role as creating a safe and
judgement free environment where clients can rediscover who they are without the trauma that has stunted their growth. I use a collaborative approach that includes life experiences, transparency,
genuineness and honesty. I believe healing is a process that offers a great opportunity for change, but the client must be honest about where they are and where they want to be. As a child I suffered from anger, trust issues and lack of forgiveness. But one day I decided to take control of my past instead of allowing it to take control of me. This gave me peace and freedom, and I want you to experience the same freedom I experience every day.
