About me
As a therapist, I am deeply passionate about the power of human relationships and the healing that unfolds when we feel truly seen, heard, and supported. I work primarily with teens (ages 13 and up), young adults, and other individuals seeking greater clarity, resilience, and balance in their lives.
My approach is grounded in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), which emphasizes strengths, possibilities, and practical steps toward meaningful change. I believe that even in the face of struggle, clients already hold the inner resources needed to move forward—and my role is to help illuminate those pathways.
In addition to talk therapy, I often incorporate somatic exercises to support clients in reconnecting with their bodies, calming their nervous systems, and processing emotions that words alone can’t always access. Whether we’re addressing anxiety, trauma, low self-esteem, or the challenges of navigating school, relationships, and identity, I strive to create a space that is safe, collaborative, and empowering.
At the core of my practice is the belief that healing is not only possible—it’s natural, especially when nurtured through authentic human connection.
I have called Durango home for the past 20 years and am proud to be a Fort Lewis College alumnus with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. I recently earned my master’s degree in counseling from Adams State University in Alamosa, Colorado. Before I became a therapist, I worked as a certified paralegal for a local family law firm for many years and gained extensive knowledge of the legal world in relation to divorce and child custody disputes – more importantly, I saw the emotional toll that comes with this major life transition and how many needed much more support than they were often times getting – which inspired me to continue my education to support those in need emotionally, rather than legally.
In my spare time I love playing video games and generally being nerdy, cooking any and all types of food, and spending time with my friends, family, and fur-babies.
