Rebecca de Vries, Ph.D. LPC, NCC, BC-TMH
Licensed Professional Counselor
Harmony, PA
Online only
About me
I provide individual online therapy for adults in Pennsylvania who are navigating anxiety, mood concerns, and the lasting impact of trauma. Many of the people I work with are capable and reflective, yet feel stuck in patterns of overthinking, emotional disconnection, or uncertainty in relationships.
Drawing on over 25 years of clinical observation, my work focuses on how anxiety, mood, and trauma intersect to shape how you understand yourself and relate to others. Therapy goes beyond symptom management and quick fixes, emphasizing clarity, emotional regulation, and rebuilding self-trust in a way that feels both steady and sustainable.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Board Certified–TeleMental Health Provider (BC-TMH). My practice is fully online, adult-only, and intentionally designed to provide thoughtful, ethical care through a direct therapeutic relationship—without being rushed, oversimplified, or reduced to symptoms.
About Me
You may be someone who functions well on the outside while feeling uncertain or disconnected on the inside—questioning your reactions, overthinking relationships, or sensing that something no longer feels aligned. Many of the adults I work with are capable and reflective, yet find themselves stuck in patterns that don’t match how they want to live or relate.
I provide individual online therapy for adults in Pennsylvania as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). My practice is designed for people who want thoughtful, steady support—without being rushed, oversimplified, or reduced to symptoms.
How I Understand the Work
Anxiety, mood concerns, and trauma rarely exist in isolation. They often overlap, shaping how you experience yourself, how you interpret others, and how safe connection feels in your life. Rather than treating these concerns as separate diagnoses, my work focuses on understanding how they intersect and reinforce one another.
This integrated approach allows therapy to move beyond symptom management toward greater emotional clarity, self-trust, and steadiness.
Areas of Focus
My clinical work centers on:
Anxiety and chronic stress
Mood concerns and emotional well-being
Trauma and post-traumatic growth
These are addressed together, as they commonly influence identity, relationships, and emotional regulation in interconnected ways.
What Therapy Is Like With Me
My approach is structured, collaborative, and non-pathologizing. Therapy is not about fixing you or pushing for change before you are ready. Sessions offer a steady, professional space to slow down, reflect, and make sense of patterns with clarity and compassion.
The pace is intentional and respectful. You are not pressured to disclose more than feels appropriate, and progress is guided by what feels most relevant to your life now.
What We Work On
In therapy, we often focus on:
Clarifying emotional and relational patterns that feel repetitive or confusing
Strengthening emotional regulation and stress tolerance
Rebuilding trust in your instincts, needs, and boundaries
Understanding how past experiences continue to shape present reactions
Integrating insight in ways that support day-to-day living
The goal is not performance or quick fixes, but a more grounded and flexible relationship with yourself and others.
Telehealth as an Intentional Practice Model
I am a Board Certified–TeleMental Health Provider (BC-TMH), with advanced training in delivering ethical, secure, and effective therapy in a fully online setting. Telehealth in my practice is not a backup to in-person work; it is an intentionally designed clinical environment.
Careful attention is given to privacy, engagement, pacing, and continuity of care so that therapy remains focused, contained, and effective in a virtual format.
Professional Experience
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (PA) and a National Certified Counselor, with over 25 years of professional experience across counseling, behavioral health, and educational settings. This depth of experience informs a measured, thoughtful approach grounded in clinical judgment and ethical practice.
Practice Structure and Continuity
I maintain a solo practice and personally respond to all inquiries. All sessions are conducted directly with me—there are no intake coordinators, assistants, or handoffs. My work is limited to individual therapy for adults and is provided exclusively through secure telehealth.
This structure allows for continuity, clarity, and a direct therapeutic relationship from the first contact onward.
A Brief Personal Note
Outside of clinical work, I value time outdoors and quiet reflection—anchors that support balance and presence, both personally and professionally.
