About me
I am a pre-licensed clinical mental health counselor who is I am committed to supporting folks to strengthen their mind-body connection and support self-regulation through therapeutic relationship.
I am interested in working with adults navigating anxiety, depression, identity development, life changes, relationship and family issues, and processing traumatic events. I aim to orient my practice towards empowerment and liberation. My clinical style balances compassion with directness.
My practice is trauma-informed by Somatic, DBT, and feminist theories. Coming from this lens, session work is collaborative, and often involves verbal processing integrated with body based re-learning, as well as examining the impact of larger systems on your life experience. I incorporate behavioral skills-based work to help you make actionable changes.
I find that DBT is even more helpful when we include the body and nervous system, working with our natural responses. When emotions start to feel like too much, we can turn to the body and notice the sensations underneath them. By learning to listen to and befriend the body, we can discover its built-in ways of calming, soothing, and supporting healing.
I worked in psychiatry for five years with folks diagnosed with PTSD and co-occurring substance use. I have now transitioned to Individual and group therapy at Meridian DBT for residents of Massachusetts and Vermont.
I am currently working under the supervision of Michelle Metzler, LCMHC, while I complete my Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I believe clients have infinite capacity to heal, grow, and blossom in a supportive and non-judgemental space, where issues can be approached with curiosity and bravery.
I take Medicaid and Self Pay at $75.
