About me
I help badass women with trauma become present in their lives and their relationships, so you can actually enjoy your life. Let's work together to get you out of you past and into your present.
I help couples where one or more partner(s) have a history of trauma build connection, safety, and trust in their relationship. Let's work together to build a refuge of a relationship.
Hey Survivor, looking for a space where you can finally be vulnerable and imperfect enough to heal yourself and/or your relationship? You (likely) identify as a woman. You grew up in a chaotic and traumatic household, and statically you experienced sexual violence before the age of 18. From a young age you started picking up slack, taking care of others, becoming your own parent. You learned to keep yourself safe by being what other people need, smoothing things over, ignoring your intuition. Likely you left home early, which left you vulnerable to your first serious relationship with someone much older and unsafe/unhealthy.
You likely became a young parent. To keep you (and perhaps your little one) safe you leveled up your people-pleasing-taking-care-of-others-putting-my needs-last skills. Despite all of this, or perhaps because of it, you’ve managed to become “stable” and “successful” in life. And now, those skills that kept you alive are keeping you from living.
Sound eerily like yourself or your partner? I've been working with individuals and couples with similar stories since 2014. I'm Rebecca and I help badass high-functioning women with complex trauma backgrounds to heal their trauma and engage more presently and authentically in their relationships. If you're ready to start on that journey, call/text/email me.
Rebecca Castle-Waller is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker offering telehealth therapy services in Colorado. Practicing since 2019, Rebecca holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Social Work from Colorado State University. Her journey in the helping profession began in 2014, volunteering with survivors of domestic violence, stalking, and sexual assault, and later with individuals experiencing homelessness in 2017. Rebecca also completed two international internships with survivors of human trafficking in Thailand (2016) and Ghana (2018).
After earning her MSW, Rebecca provided in-home family therapy for youth dealing with trauma, substance use, and behavioral disorders. Before founding Remote Relief Trauma Therapy, she worked in outpatient therapy for couples and individuals at a group practice.
Rebecca's approach to therapy is rooted in resilience and strengths-based perspectives. She believes in focusing on what’s going right and that everyone has the capacity to change, heal, and grow. Her practice incorporates elements of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Gottman Couples Therapy, and Discernment Counseling. Her primary areas of focus include trauma treatment, couples therapy, and enhancing clients’ connections to others and their community.
In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys reading voraciously, running, practicing yoga, and painting, though she admits to being a poor cook.
Committed to intersectional, inclusive, and anti-racist practice, Rebecca welcomes and values your lived experience. She believes in the importance of continual education, assessing for bias, seeking feedback, and challenging assumptions to be an effective therapist.
