About me
Journey Health & Wellness: Compassionate and collaborative medication management
Becky is a highly skilled and compassionate provider who takes pride in providing her patients and their families with comprehensive and personalized care. With her attentive ear and vast knowledge, she is committed to actively listening and providing thoughtful responses to all questions and concerns.
Her patients have consistently praised her clear communication style and unwavering empathy, which have contributed to her excellent track record in helping individuals achieve optimal mental health and wellness.
Becky started out her nursing career in the neonatal ICU. Over the next 13 years, she had the immense privilege of working in many healthcare settings including: pediatric homecare, pediatric pulmonology (asthma and other lung conditions), pediatric dermatology, geriatric homecare, and an employee health and wellness program serving thousands of employees and their families. She brought this experience into her Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) degree and certification.
Two years into working as an FNP in genetics, she felt an ever-growing calling to complete her training through a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) certificate so she could help her patients’ body, mind, and soul. Becky saw a growing need for mental health providers, particularly those equipped to manage medications in a knowledgeable and effective way. Becky has woven knowledge acquired through her years of nursing practice, FNP training & experience, with mental health (PMHNP) education to provide high quality care that takes all aspects of health and wellness into account when making diagnoses and treatment plans.
Originally from snowy Vermont, Becky has grown to appreciate the more moderate climate of Texas, where she lives with her husband and three children. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the natural beauty of Central Texas and beyond with her family. They are self-proclaimed Disney enthusiasts and also enjoy bonding over her baking creations.
