Licensed Professional Counselor
Lynchburg, VA

About me
I am an experienced therapist dedicated to working to help adults to process and to heal from the effects of trauma as well as coping with anxiety, depression, anger, grief and loss.
Rebecca is a licensed professional counselor, (LPC) in Virginia with over 11 years of experience working both as a therapist and a disaster response chaplain. Her clinical experience includes a wide range of concerns including trauma, abuse, anxiety, depression, military and veteran issues as well as first-responders, compassion fatigue and spiritual concerns. Rebecca has also helped many people who have experienced both physical trauma as well as the devastating effects from natural and man-made disasters. Rebecca is currently pursuing higher level certification in EMDR, an evidenced-based approach for treating trauma. Rebecca served six years in the military and has experience working with both active duty and veterans.
Rebecca’s therapy style is warm and interactive, and she works hard to provide a safe place to explore and heal. Her approach to counseling includes cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused and trauma-focused therapies. She will tailor the dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
We all know change can be tough, but if you are ready to take that step, she is here to walk through this with you.
