About me
I am a California-based associate therapist who helps individuals navigate anxiety, relationship patterns, and life transitions using evidence-based, client-centered approaches — with faith integration available for those who want it.
I believe that the people who seek therapy are often the bravest ones in the room — and I don't take that lightly.
I'm Rajeshni, an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) practicing at Lighted Paths Counseling in Rancho Cordova, CA. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship patterns, and emotional overwhelm. My approach is collaborative and practical — I'm not here to hand you a diagnosis and send you on your way. I'm here to help you actually understand yourself and build skills you'll use long after our sessions end.
As a South Asian therapist, I bring a culturally informed lens to my work — one that understands the weight of family expectations, intergenerational dynamics, cultural identity, and the particular silence that can surround mental health in our communities. You won't have to explain yourself from scratch here.
Clinically, I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based approaches, and Gottman Method-Informed principles for relationship work. I also integrate psychoeducation throughout our work together, because I believe that understanding why you feel and respond the way you do is half the battle.
For clients who are interested, I offer faith-integrated care — meaning spirituality and personal beliefs can be woven into our work together. It's always an option, never a requirement.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent years working in public health and regulatory systems, which gave me a deep respect for the complexity of people's lives and the systemic barriers they navigate. I bring that same nuance into the therapy room.
If you're ready to do the work — and you want a therapist who will be honest, engaged, and genuinely invested in your progress — I'd love to connect.
