About me
I am an integrative (psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral) clinical psychologist, dedicated to helping adults across the lifespan cope with anxiety, depression, complex trauma, and a full range of psychosocial and emotional challenges.
In life, we encounter many situations that seem to push us to our limits, or beyond. Some of these arise from within, others, from our surroundings. When these situations become intolerable, and nothing we’ve tried has worked, frustration, or even despair, may set in. At this point, we can give in or give up, or we can seek help and renewed hope. Whether you have been struggling mightily and at length, or mildly and briefly, I would be honored to meet you, to get to know you, to hear about what you’ve been going through, and to join with you in finding ways to make things better.
I work from an integrative, developmental, humanistic, strengths-based, trauma-informed perspective, tailoring my approach to your unique needs. I incorporate both psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral techniques into our work, helping to equip you with the insights and skills you need to face life’s challenges with greater resilience and inspiration.
I will listen and respond to you carefully and compassionately, bringing many years of training and experience to bear on the parts of your life and your self that you share. Change can be frightening, but also exhilarating, and is, at times, deeply necessary. I understand how daunting this is, and I am confident that you can do it and eager to help you try!
