About me
I earned three baccalaureate degrees in Psychology, Philosophy, and Religious Studies and a master’s in Counseling Psychology. I am currently working towards a M.S. in Philosophy. I provide services to adolescents and adults. I utilize evidence-based practices and explorations in existentialism and mindfulness, while developing distress tolerance skills.
When I think of the concept of a person, I think of a being that is guided by a need to be loved and to give love. Love can take on many forms, but the most powerful form of love is that of self-love. Cultivating self-love and self-compassion is my personal goal of doing therapeutic work. I believe that we tend to pursue the things we feel like we want before identifying who we are. Our lack of self-acknowledgment and understanding can leave us confused and in states of distress. My hope is to join you on your path towards self-discovery, self-compassion, and, ultimately, self-love.
I work from an existential approach, meaning you have power to be who you desire to be. Through deep reflection and questioning, we can cultivate true meaning. This means unpacking our distress, trauma, and doubts. In our sessions, you are welcomed to be authentic and bare the things that seem to weigh you down. You are deserving of being heard and helped.
