About me

I help individuals, professionals, and organizations navigate stress, trauma, and life transitions by blending evidence-based therapy with creative, expressive approaches. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where healing feels authentic, empowering, and sustainable.

Welcome—I’m so glad you’re here. My name is Phylicia Noel, and I’m the founder of The Noel Approach, LLC, a practice where clinical expertise meets creativity, compassion, and authenticity. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Creative Wellness Coach with years of experience supporting individuals, professionals, and organizations through seasons of stress, trauma, transition, and growth.

I created The Noel Approach because I believe healing is not linear. Life doesn’t hand us a straight path—and that’s okay. I wanted to design a practice that honors the twists and turns, blending the structure of evidence-based therapy with the freedom of creative, expressive practices. My clients often tell me that working with me feels both grounding and expansive—they feel safe, supported, and encouraged to rediscover parts of themselves they may have lost along the way.

My Approach

I view therapy as a collaborative process. Together, we will work toward clarity, resilience, and self-trust. My approach integrates traditional modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Trauma-Informed Care with therapeutic art, mindfulness practices, and journaling. This allows us to address challenges in practical ways while also tapping into creative tools for deeper healing.

I believe that therapy should feel human. I don’t just “sit back and nod”—I engage with my clients, ask meaningful questions, and co-create strategies that actually fit into their lives. My role is not to “fix” you, but to walk alongside you as you explore, heal, and grow.

Who I Work With

Adults are navigating life transitions such as relationships, career changes, or personal growth.

Professionals and entrepreneurs seeking balance, boundary-setting, and tools to reduce burnout.

Individuals coping with trauma, stress, or anxiety who want to build healthier patterns and coping strategies.

College students and young adults exploring identity, independence, and the pressures of building a future.

Organizations and community groups are committed to wellness and creativity in the workplace.

What Clients Can Expect

When you step into a session with me, expect a safe, judgment-free space where your voice matters. Expect curiosity, compassion, and collaboration. Expect sessions that are sometimes reflective, sometimes practical, and sometimes creative—always tailored to you.

Clients often share that they leave sessions with new insights, practical tools, and a greater sense of self-awareness. Many appreciate that I bring humor, creativity, and authenticity into the process while also holding a professional, steady presence.

Why Choose The Noel Approach

Because this isn’t just therapy—it’s about creating a pathway to healing that feels like yours. The Noel Approach is designed for those who want more than “just talking.” It’s for those who are ready to blend traditional therapy with creative exploration, who want to build resilience, and who are seeking an approach that values both evidence and expression.

A Little About Me

Outside of my practice, I’m an artist, a mother, and someone who knows firsthand what it means to commit to personal growth. Creativity has always been a part of my life, and I’ve seen how art, mindfulness, and intentional self-care can transform the healing journey. That personal experience is woven into how I show up for my clients—with empathy, openness, and a deep belief that healing is possible.

Whether you are looking for therapy, coaching, or a blend of both, my goal is to meet you where you are and walk alongside you in creating the life you want. If you’re ready to begin your journey—or even if you’re just curious about what this could look like—I’d be honored to connect with you.
