About me
Dr. Everette has over 30 years experience as a holistic psychotherapist assisting individuals and couples. She specializes in working with mental health practitioners, academics, and couples (including bi-racial couples). She is best suited for clients wanting to go deep and work hard. Dr. Everette completed level 3/3 Gottman training in couples therapy. She is Level 1 trained (with advanced training in Internal Family System), and Part 1 and2 in Brainspotting. These approaches are stand alone or combined to offer a uniquely blended approach to treating individuals and couples. She is also a certified trauma specialist.
Dr. Everette is the author of Finding and Keeping Romantic Love: Relationship Tips for People Over 50. She is a registered yoga teacher and an adjunct faculty member at Wayne State University's School of Social Work She assists in helping clients tap into their innate inner strengths. She uses somatic approaches to help clients get in touch with their bodies creating deep pathways to healing. This approach allows clients to begin working on deep seated issues that may have prevented them from living comfortable, enthusiastic, and purposeful lives. Also, she designs and develops workshops on a variety of topics.
