About me
I’m an experienced Psychologist , and Licensed in Maryland and Florida. I have been dedicated to working with adolescents, and adults for over 40 years. Focused on teaching patients a host of coping strategies for Trauma, Anxiety , Pain and Depression . My professional Goals include : Building autonomy, self -confidence and competence. I integrate CBT, ACT, and Hypnotherapy into my Psychotherapy practice.
I have a welcoming and warm practice. My Baltimore based office is conveniently located, , ADA accessible , with safe and close parking . All patients are treated with respect and care. I also see patients remotely on the doxy.me platform, which is fully HIPPA compliant. I offer years of clinical experience, with expertise in Clinical Hypnotherapy, treating life adjustment disorders,, pain, anxiety disorders, depression, phobias , obesity , etc. I conduct pre-surgical Bariatric Evaluations , and enjoy supporting my patients as they progress through their treatment journey. I welcome transitioning , non -binary, LBGTQIA+ persons. Many of my patients have experienced trauma, abuse, and / or domestic violence. My clinical experience includes years of conducting trauma -based interventions, in a safe and calming environment. I believe that Psychotherapy is a collaborative process with my patients , focused on : symptom relief, healing ;personal growth and recovery.. In my free time, I am an Adaptive Dive Buddy volunteer in South Florida. Supporting adaptive scuba divers that have suffered with : PTSD, spinal cord injuries, , CP, amputees, and other medical conditions, helping to train them to safely scuba dive with support . I also enjoy volunteering with scuba support for children and teens diagnosed with Autism , and / or Developmental Disabilities. The joy the divers experience, when scuba diving , is such a blessing, and I feel privileged to be part of their journey. I am a longtime member of : the American Society for Clinical Hypnotherapy, APA, MPA, FPA, and I am listed in The National Registry for Health Service ( Psychologists ) Providers in Psychology. I have volunteered on numerous Domestic Violence advisory boards, in both Florida and Maryland . I am also involved with GEM : The Girls Empowerment Mission . The program centers on : Volunteers
Supporting high school aged girls, from underserved communities, to reach their potential via mentoring, community service, education opportunities, etc. Lastly, I am a firm believer that: “it takes a village” . We all have a responsibility to make our own communities a safer and better place for everyone.
