About me
I am an experienced psychotherapist who believes healing occurs through supportive and nurturing relationships. I specialize in parenting and family issues, child and adolescent development, women's issues including pregnancy and postpartum concerns, and grief. I have clinical expertise in anxiety, depression, and trauma.
I have provided mental health counseling in community-based, educational, and private practice settings for over 20 years. I am passionate about working with teens, families, and individuals. I successfully support people through life transitions during adolescence, parenting, and loss. I join with clients on their journey to healing. My approach incorporates mindfulness, problem-solving, creative expression, and play to discover strength, increase hope, and conquer challenges.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Texas Tech University, and a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from California Lutheran University. Through additional training I have certifications as PMH-C in treating Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders, and CCATP in Clinical Anxiety Treatment.
