About me
Hi, I’m Paola! I’m a spanglish therapist who supports adult women navigating anxiety, overthinking, sadness, relationship challenges, and the changes life brings. I especially enjoy working with first-generation women, young professionals, and moms who are used to being there for everyone else but find it hard to make space for themselves.
My style is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. You don’t have to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say before coming to therapy. We’ll start where you are and move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. As a Mexican-American and first-generation woman, I understand how family expectations, culture, and the roles we carry can influence how we feel about ourselves.
I use a person-centered, trauma-informed approach and draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and solution-focused strategies. In our work together, that might look like making sense of your thoughts, learning ways to handle overwhelming emotions, practicing boundaries, or figuring out what matters most to you.
My hope is to help you feel more connected to yourself and more confident in how you navigate everyday life. Wherever you are in your journey, I’d be honored to walk alongside you as you make space for yourself and discover what feeling better looks like for you.
