About me
I’m a licensed therapist with extensive experience supporting individuals, couples, and families through life’s challenges. I offer thoughtful, evidence-based care in a warm, collaborative environment.
Hi, I'm Pamela Boaz, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of Forward Family Therapy, which I started in 2006. I’m both the Clinical Director and an active clinician, working with children, teens, adults, and families. I earned my Bachelor’s in Social Work from Southern Illinois University in 1993 and my Master’s in Social Work from Aurora University in 1994. Not long after, I returned home to Colorado (yes, I’m a proud native!) and became licensed in 1998. For over 25 years, I’ve had the privilege of helping people navigate life’s toughest moments — and I still feel grateful every single day for the meaningful work I get to do.
When I’m not in session, you’ll likely find me camping, hiking, biking, paddleboarding, gardening, or snowshoeing — basically anywhere outdoors with my husband of 31 years and our two amazing daughters (now 25 and 22). I’m also an unapologetic Denver Broncos fanatic and love cheering them on no matter the season!
Professionally, I’ve presented at state-wide conferences such as the Colorado Child Welfare Conference and the Colorado County Attorney’s Conference, as well as community workshops on positive parenting, body safety, effective discipline, trauma and self-empowerment. My greatest passion is helping clients become the best version of themselves — whether that’s as a parent, partner, professional, or individual working on self-growth. I’m also deeply committed to advocating against sexual harm in all its forms and supporting survivors in reclaiming their strength and healing.
I’ve taught hundreds of Positive Parenting classes and love helping parents move beyond power struggles and reconnect with their kids in meaningful ways. I also specialize in working with individuals who have experienced sexual abuse or domestic violence, walking alongside them through healing from anger, grief, and shame. As a proud ally of the LGBTQ+ community, I’m honored to be a preferred provider for The Children’s Hospital, supporting youth exploring gender or sexuality. In therapy, I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), Mindfulness and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) — powerful approaches that help clients rewire patterns of anxiety, depression, and trauma. There’s nothing more rewarding than watching someone literally change the way their brain responds to life.
My style is practical, interactive, and solution-focused. I blend traditional and alternative techniques to meet each client exactly where they are, helping them identify strengths, break old patterns, and build lasting change with compassion and clarity. I’m a proud member of the National Association of Social Workers and currently accept Kaiser, Lyra, and self-pay clients. Sessions are $175 for 50 minutes. If you’re ready to move forward — I’d love to help you do it.
