About me
Paige Allen, LISW-S
Psychotherapist
Compassionate, Experienced Support for Meaningful Change
I’m Paige, a social worker and psychotherapist with more than 40 years of experience supporting people through some of life’s most challenging moments. I bring a compassionate, grounded approach to therapy, meeting each person with kindness, curiosity, and respect for their unique experiences, values, and goals.
Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals navigating depression, anxiety, stress, relationship difficulties, trauma, self-esteem concerns, and life transitions. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where you can talk openly, better understand your experiences, and work toward meaningful change at your own pace.
Trauma-Informed Therapy & EMDR
I have expertise in helping people who have experienced trauma or difficult life events. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is one of the evidence-based approaches I offer. EMDR can help people process distressing experiences and reduce the emotional impact that past events may continue to have on their lives.
My Philosophy
Therapy is not about changing who you are. It is about understanding what you have experienced, recognizing the strengths you already possess, and developing tools and perspectives that can help you move forward.
A Collaborative Approach
I believe effective therapy begins with a genuine relationship built on trust, respect, and collaboration. I listen with curiosity rather than judgment and work with you to understand what is happening in your life and what you want to change.
Depending on your needs and goals, therapy may focus on:
* Depression and anxiety
* Stress and feeling overwhelmed
* Trauma and difficult life experiences
* Relationship challenges
* Self-esteem and confidence
* Life transitions and major changes
* Coping with difficult emotions
* Personal growth and building a more fulfilling life
I draw from evidence-based therapeutic approaches and tailor our work to you rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all model.
Extensive Experience Beyond the Therapy Room
In addition to my clinical experience, I have spent many years in social-services leadership and management. This experience gives me a unique understanding of the pressures and challenges that can come with demanding professional roles.
I understand the realities of managing teams, being on-call, training and developing employees, hiring, building a positive workplace culture, navigating difficult personnel situations, and implementing corrective action plans. I also understand how the responsibilities of leadership can affect a person's stress level, relationships, confidence, and overall well-being.
This perspective can be especially valuable for professionals and leaders who are trying to balance responsibility at work with the need to care for themselves.
A Space to Be Yourself
Whether you are working through past experiences, managing challenges in the present, or trying to build a more fulfilling future, therapy can provide a place to pause, reflect, and move forward with greater clarity.
I believe you deserve to be heard, respected, and understood. I am honored to walk alongside you as you work toward healing, growth, and meaningful change.
You don't have to have everything figured out before beginning therapy. We can start where you are.
