About me
I love to work with people of diverse backgrounds experiencing challenges in their everyday lives. I specialized in working with those seeking help with depression, anxiety, relationships, trauma, and any other challenges they may face. I also have a passion for working with couples (Gottman Method Level 1 Trained) and incorporating sex therapy, as well as working with the LGBTQ+ community and polyamorous relationships. I also provide family therapy for various concerns. I am Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT) certified to work with family members to support their loved ones experiencing substance abuse challenges.
My primary modalities of practice are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). My style focuses on emotional regulation and how behaviors, thoughts, and feelings impact a person’s body, relationships with others, and mental health. I will work with you to create a specialized treatment plan based on your needs.
I have 7 years of experience working with people of all ages and backgrounds. I understand that everyone's lived experience is unique to them. In addition to psychology, my educational history in women’s, gender, and sexuality studies emphasized the intersectionality of race, gender, sexuality, class, and religion and its impact on mental health.
