Welcome, I'm Glad You're Here
Hi, I’m Olajumoke Adeyemi, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and Nurse psychotherapist. I specialize in providing integrated mental health care that combines therapy, medication management, and compassionate support. I work primarily with women, adults, and young adults navigating emotional pain, life transitions, trauma, and identity-related challenges.
I know that deciding to seek help is not always easy—especially when you’ve been carrying a lot alone. Whether this is your first experience with therapy or you're returning after a difficult chapter, I honor your courage in taking this step. My hope is that in our work together, you’ll feel deeply supported and empowered to rediscover your voice, your confidence, and your capacity to thrive. Who I Work With:
My practice serves individuals navigating a wide range of challenges, including:
Anxiety and panic
Depression and low self-esteem
Childhood and complex trauma
Postpartum depression and perinatal mental health
Life transitions and identity work
Chronic illness, caregiving stress, and burnout
Faith and spirituality-based healing
Grief, loss, and unresolved emotional pain
Interpersonal difficulties and codependency
Adjustment stress (immigration, career changes, relocation)
Women’s mental health, including reproductive and hormonal health
Clients seeking Christian counseling or faith-informed therapy
I’m especially passionate about working with women of color, immigrant families, caregivers, and those who have felt unseen or misunderstood in past mental health settings. I welcome individuals from all backgrounds and walks of life, including those navigating their own identity, spirituality, or cultural transitions.
My Approach to Care
I take a relational, integrative, and trauma-informed approach to therapy. That means I meet you where you are, and we work together to understand your experiences, needs, and goals. My role is not to “fix” you—but to walk alongside you as you heal, rediscover your resilience, and move toward a life that feels more connected, authentic, and meaningful.
My therapy style is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. I blend modalities such as:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for exploring thought patterns and behaviors
Attachment-based therapy for understanding emotional needs and early relational wounds
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you move through painful emotions with purpose
Narrative therapy to help you re-author the story of your life in ways that reflect your truth
Mindfulness and self-compassion practices to build emotional regulation
Christian counseling, upon request, to incorporate faith and biblical principles into your healing journey
As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I also provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management when appropriate, which allows me to offer a truly whole-person, coordinated approach to your care. This is especially helpful if you’ve struggled to find a provider who respects both your emotional and medical needs in one setting.
What Clients Can Expect from Sessions
In our sessions, you can expect honesty, gentleness, and room to be your full self. I offer a calm, culturally sensitive, and emotionally safe space where you can unpack what’s weighing on you—without pressure or judgment. Some days may be deep and reflective, others more practical and solution-focused.
I will help you identify the root causes of what you’re feeling, develop healthier coping tools, and gain clarity on how you want to live and love moving forward. We may explore your past, your current challenges, or your spiritual questions—all in the service of helping you heal and grow.
Whether you're struggling with trauma, anxiety, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself, therapy is a space where we can find direction, hope, and restoration together.
Why I Do This Work
I became a nurse psychotherapist because I believe deeply in the power of human connection and healing. My own life experiences—navigating grief, faith, culture, and the complexity of womanhood—have shaped the lens through which I approach this work. I know what it’s like to wear many roles, to carry invisible burdens, and to feel like there’s no space to fall apart. That’s why I’m passionate about holding space for others.
What keeps me going in this work is the strength I see in my clients every day—their vulnerability, their bravery, and their capacity to grow even when life feels overwhelming. It’s a privilege to be part of that process.
I also advocate for accessible, culturally affirming mental health care, especially in communities where mental illness has long been stigmatized or misunderstood. I believe mental health is a human right, and no one should have to navigate emotional pain alone.
A Little More About Me
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time in nature, listening to gospel music, cooking, journaling, and exploring wellness practices that nourish the mind and body. I’m a woman of faith who finds strength in prayer, and I welcome the integration of spirituality for clients who desire it.
I support causes that align with my values—mental health equity, reproductive justice, maternal wellness, and holistic healing. I’m continually learning and growing, and I bring that spirit of humility and growth into the therapy room.
