About me
I'm Dr. Nooshin Golshani (pronounced New-ShEEn Goal-SHA-nee), or Dr. G, and am a psychologist with a variety of experience who has worked with kids as young as 5 up to those in their 90's. I appreciate the various stages we enter in life and the many issues and transitions that each of us encounter. I am open to working with you short-term or long-term and am accepting new patients in New York or New Jersey.
I specialize in working with individuals in the treatment of anxiety, depression, trauma, cultural challenges, highly sensitive people (HSP), and more. I take a holistic approach to mental health and mindfulness and can explore with you the many facets of your life and how they intersect with your mental health. I am diversity, neurodiversity, and LGBTQ+ affirming, and open to all who are ready to engage in treatment, even if hesitant. I utilize a variety of treatment modalities based on individual needs and respecting you as a person, while forming a trusting relationship. I was trained as a psychodynamic clinician, focusing on underlying feelings, thoughts, and behaviors providing insight into these processes. I approach each case through an integrative lense however, combining strategies as needed such as mindfulness and CBT.
I am an Out of Network insurance provider and can provide you with superbills for you to submit to your insurance.
