About me
I am a compassionate, relational EMDR therapist dedicated to supporting adults in healing from religious trauma, complex PTSD, and childhood trauma, guiding them toward greater self-understanding, resilience, and freedom.
About Me
I am a warm, relational EMDR therapist serving adults throughout Los Angeles and across California via telehealth. I specialize in trauma therapy for adults navigating religious trauma, complex PTSD, and childhood trauma. Many of the people I work with feel stuck in patterns of people pleasing, self doubt, perfectionism, or difficulty setting boundaries. You may feel unsafe or on edge in relationships, unsure how to trust yourself, or disconnected from your own needs and values. Therapy with me is a space to slow down, understand where these patterns began, and gently create new ways of relating to yourself and others.
As a trauma informed therapist in Los Angeles offering online therapy across California, I support adults impacted by relational wounds, spiritual abuse, and harmful religious experiences. If you are deconstructing or leaving a faith tradition, you may be grieving community, identity, or certainty. You might be sorting through shame, fear, or confusion about what you believe now. Religious trauma therapy can help you process these experiences, rebuild trust in yourself, and clarify your values without pressure or judgment. My work focuses on helping you feel grounded, empowered, and confident in your ability to choose what feels right for you.
Many of my clients come to therapy struggling with symptoms of complex PTSD including emotional flashbacks, hypervigilance, chronic shame, or difficulty feeling safe in close relationships. Childhood trauma and attachment wounds can shape how you see yourself and how you connect with others. Together, we work to understand how past experiences are still living in the present. Through EMDR therapy and other evidence based trauma treatments, we help your nervous system process painful memories so they feel less overwhelming and less defining. Over time, clients often report feeling more regulated, less reactive, and more at ease in their daily lives.
My Background and Approach
I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and specialize in EMDR therapy for trauma, religious harm, and relational wounds. My approach is collaborative, relational, and paced according to what feels safe for you. I believe effective trauma therapy does not rush the process. Instead, we build a foundation of safety, coping skills, and trust before moving into deeper processing work.
EMDR, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, is a research supported therapy for PTSD, complex trauma, and distressing life experiences. As an EMDR therapist serving Los Angeles and California via telehealth, I use EMDR to help clients reprocess traumatic memories so they no longer carry the same emotional intensity or negative beliefs. Rather than simply talking about what happened, EMDR helps your brain and body integrate experiences in a way that reduces triggers, shame, and fear. Clients often find they feel more present, less stuck in the past, and more connected to their sense of self.
In addition to EMDR, I draw from attachment based therapy, parts work, and other trauma informed modalities. Our work may include learning nervous system regulation skills, exploring boundary setting, addressing people pleasing patterns, and strengthening self trust. Therapy is not about fixing you. It is about understanding the adaptive ways you survived and building new options that align with who you want to become.
As a California telehealth therapist, I provide secure online therapy for adults throughout the state, including Los Angeles. Telehealth therapy allows you to access specialized trauma treatment from the comfort and privacy of your own space. Many clients appreciate the flexibility and consistency that virtual therapy offers, especially when processing complex trauma or religious harm.
What You Can Expect
Clients often describe our work as grounding, affirming, and steady. I aim to create a calm, compassionate environment where you can speak honestly about your experiences, including topics that may feel taboo, confusing, or painful. You set the pace. We check in regularly about what feels supportive and what needs adjusting. My role is to walk alongside you, offering clinical expertise while honoring your autonomy and lived experience.
In trauma therapy, especially when addressing religious trauma or childhood abuse, shame can run deep. I approach these experiences with care and respect. Healing often involves untangling internalized messages about worth, obedience, responsibility, and identity. As we work together, you may begin to notice increased clarity, stronger boundaries, improved relationships, and a deeper sense of self trust.
My Values
I am committed to providing inclusive, affirming, and socially conscious therapy. I support LGBTQ+ clients, individuals impacted by systemic harm, and those healing from spiritual abuse. My practice is grounded in trauma informed care, cultural humility, and ethical responsibility. I actively pursue ongoing education in equity centered and evidence based treatment so I can offer the most effective and compassionate care possible.
I believe therapy should honor your identity, your culture, your beliefs or evolving beliefs, and your right to define your own path forward. You deserve mental health care that respects your boundaries and empowers you to make choices aligned with your values.
If you are looking for a trauma informed EMDR therapist in Los Angeles or anywhere in California via telehealth, I would be honored to support you. Healing from complex PTSD, childhood trauma, and religious harm is possible. You do not have to navigate it alone.
