About me
Neurodivergent therapist specializing in ADHD, autism, intellectual and learning disabilities, anxiety, burnout, and executive functioning support
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor providing neurodivergent-affirming therapy for teens and adults with ADHD, autism, intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities, anxiety, trauma, burnout, and relationship challenges. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by executive functioning difficulties, masking, emotional regulation challenges, or chronic stress from work, school, or relationships. My goal is to help clients better understand how their brain works while building practical strategies that support daily life, confidence, and emotional wellbeing.
I earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University. I specialize in working with neurodivergent individuals, including those who are newly diagnosed or who have spent years masking or feeling misunderstood. As a neurodivergent therapist and parent of a neurodivergent child, I bring both professional training and lived experience to my work. I understand many of the unique strengths and challenges that come with ADHD, autism, and other neurodevelopmental differences.
Before entering private practice, I worked in corrections in an all-male prison within an adaptive skills residential unit. In this role I supported individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities, traumatic brain injury (TBI), dementia, and complex mental health conditions. Many individuals I worked with had co-occurring trauma histories, psychosis, personality disorders, and significant life stressors. This experience gave me extensive training in working with complex clinical presentations and diverse mental health needs.
In private practice, I work with teens and adults with ADHD and autism as well as individuals navigating anxiety, burnout, relationship stress, self-esteem concerns, and life transitions. I also work with parents, partners, and family members supporting a loved one with ADHD or autism.
My therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) combined with mindfulness, person-centered therapy, and solution-focused strategies. Together we work to build practical coping skills, improve executive functioning, strengthen emotional regulation, and develop systems that support organization, focus, boundaries, and healthier relationships.
I believe therapy should be a supportive and collaborative space where clients feel understood, respected, and empowered to grow. Whether someone is navigating neurodivergence, anxiety, burnout, or life stress, my goal is to help clients develop insight, practical skills, and confidence so they can create meaningful and sustainable change.
