About me
I am a dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor specializing in guiding individuals and couples through the complexities of depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, PTSD, and relational challenges.
Welcome! My name is Nidia I. Valadez, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor (LPC-S) with over a decade of experience in the mental health field. As the owner of a group practice, I am deeply committed to providing compassionate, effective, and holistic care to individuals, couples, and families navigating the challenges of depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, PTSD, and relational issues.
My journey into counseling began with a profound personal connection to the struggles many of my clients face. As a Mexican immigrant who has experienced trauma, ADHD, and PTSD, I understand the importance of empathy, resilience, and tailored therapeutic approaches. This personal insight fuels my passion for creating a supportive and understanding environment where clients can feel safe to explore their emotions and experiences.
In our practice, we believe in a psycho-social-spiritual approach to therapy, recognizing that mental health is deeply interconnected with various aspects of our lives. We utilize evidence-based therapies, including Pia Mellody's work on codependency and addiction, and Terry Real's relational life therapy, to help our clients build healthier relationships and achieve personal growth.
Beyond individual and couples therapy, I am dedicated to mentoring and teaching new therapists, fostering a supportive community for professional development. I also create support circles to provide ongoing guidance and encouragement.
Outside of my professional life, I cherish time with my husband and our two young daughters. We enjoy traveling, spending time outdoors, and simply being together as a family. Balancing my professional and personal life allows me to bring a well-rounded perspective to my clients, understanding the importance of self-care and family connections.
At our practice, we are committed to helping you find your path to healing and growth. We look forward to walking alongside you on your journey to well-being.
