About me
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Teacher who enjoys working with people of all ages who desire to develop a deeper connection with themselves and learn to improve their mental health.
Over a decade ago, I decided to step away from my career as a teacher, which I loved, and embark on a path of self-discovery. This change was difficult, but I knew I would continue to do what excites me: helping people see the world differently. My journey took me to several places around the world, eventually landing in a small village in southern Africa. It was here that I learned firsthand the importance of mental well-being. Although my job in this village was to teach, the people there taught me more than I could ever teach them. I learned the importance of patience, presence, and relationships, and how taking care of myself helps me to support others through their most difficult times.
I returned home to pursue a career in supporting people struggling with mental health issues. My path led me to earn two master's degrees - MA in Youth Development and MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have worked with people of all ages and a wide array of mental health challenges. I enjoy using my experience as an educator to teach people how to achieve inner peace in our increasingly more demanding and confusing world.
In my practice, Full Cycle Therapy, I specialize in helping people struggling with life transitions, relationship issues, and recovering from trauma. Together, I will walk beside you as you learn to manage stress, anxiety, and depression to step into your own power and build the life you want. My approach is relationship-centered, warm, and outcome-focused.
