Hello, my name is Natalie Jones, I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. I made a mid-life career change after working for many years in the business field. I earned my Master’s Degree in Social Work from Wheelock College in Bostonin 2006. I worked full-time while going to school in the evenings. I gained valuable experience providing help to children and families for 15 years. My experience has been working with clients in their home providing emotional support and guidance as an Individual Therapist. Many of my clients have carried the emotional pain of childhood trauma, addiction, emotional distress, depression , anxiety., and many other diagnosis. Treatment Interventions vary according to each individual person. I use a variety of treatments including Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Guided Imagery, Motivational Coaching and The Cycle of Change Model.
As a therapist I value honest relationships built on trust. I believe a therapist needs to provide a safe, nurturing space to express difficult emotions. I believe in the art of listening and caring to achieve optimum empathy and compassion for the client. I value open mindedness, being non-judgmental and understanding how difficult it can be to trust someone with your inner most thoughts. Therapy can be helpful to change harmful patterns using Cognitive Behavior Therapy to improve outcomes. I can be direct when necessary but always with gentleness and kindness. Many clients are experiencing therapy for the first time, The stigma of mental health treatment has changed for the better. I believe in helping clients to set realistic goals and work as a team to achieve them.
