About me

Dedicated to healing the healers and families.

After 30 years as a paramedic, I understand what it means to spend a career showing up for others—often while putting your own needs aside. Today, as a psychotherapist, I'm passionate about **healing the healers** and creating a safe, judgment-free space where you can step out of the role you carry for everyone else and focus on yourself.

That passion also extends to the **spouses, partners, families, and children of first responders**, who are too often overlooked as they navigate the unique challenges of loving someone in these professions. Families may carry their own emotional weight while managing unpredictable schedules, missed milestones, chronic stress, trauma exposure, changes in communication, and the challenge of supporting a loved one who may be struggling themselves. I believe those who stand beside our first responders deserve a space to be heard, supported, and understood.

Using a **family-systems approach**, I work to strengthen relationships, improve communication, and help individuals and families understand how stress, trauma, and emotional challenges can affect the entire family—not just one person. Healing can involve supporting the individual while also protecting and rebuilding the relationships that matter most.

I specialize in **trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, substance use and gambling concerns, co-occurring disorders, ADHD, OCD, and disordered eating**. My approach is compassionate, direct, and individualized, integrating **EMDR, IFS, ACT, DBT, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness, and trauma-focused emotional healing**.

Whether you are a first responder, veteran, healthcare professional, spouse, partner, or family member—or simply someone carrying the weight of difficult life experiences—therapy is a place where you do not have to have everything figured out. My goal is to help you heal, reconnect with yourself and the people who matter most, and continue becoming the best version of yourself—**during the calls, between the bells, and long after the bells go off.**
