About me

Hi, I’m Natalie Gonzalez, an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor based in Los Angeles, California. I’m passionate about working with couples and individuals who are navigating relationship challenges, life transitions, anxiety, and personal growth. I strive to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel comfortable showing up as you are, explore your experiences, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself and your relationships. My approach is collaborative and tailored to your unique needs, with a focus on building healthier communication, strengthening emotional connections, and helping you move toward a more fulfilling and authentic life. I believe therapy is a journey we take together, and you don’t have to have everything figured out to get started.

Hi, I'm Natalie Gonzalez, an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #162604) and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC #22390) based in Los Angeles, California. I believe that therapy can be a meaningful space to better understand ourselves, navigate life's challenges, and build healthier, more fulfilling relationships. My goal is to create a welcoming, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel comfortable being yourself, sharing your experiences, and exploring what matters most to you.

I am especially passionate about working with couples and individuals. In my work with couples, I enjoy helping partners better understand one another, improve communication, navigate conflict, and rebuild emotional connection. Relationships can be deeply meaningful, but they can also bring challenges that leave us feeling disconnected, misunderstood, or unsure of how to move forward. Therapy offers an opportunity to slow down, recognize unhelpful patterns, and work toward a stronger, more intentional relationship.

I also enjoy working with individuals who are navigating anxiety, relationship or family difficulties, life transitions, and personal growth. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, struggling to make sense of your emotions, or wanting to better understand yourself and your experiences, I strive to provide a space where you can explore these challenges without fear of judgment. Together, we can identify your strengths, develop practical tools, and work toward changes that align with your needs and values.

My educational background includes a B.A. in Psychology from California State University, Los Angeles, as well as three Associate of Arts degrees in Sociology, Psychology, and General Studies in Social and Natural Sciences. My clinical experience includes supporting children, individuals, couples, parents, and families from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, including individuals and families navigating trauma, family changes, and complex life circumstances. These experiences have shaped my commitment to providing care that is compassionate, culturally responsive, and mindful of the many factors that influence our emotional well-being and relationships.

My therapeutic approach draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused approaches. I value combining practical strategies with a deeper understanding of the experiences and patterns that shape how we think, feel, and relate to others. At the same time, I recognize that each person and relationship is unique. I tailor our work to your goals, preferences, and pace, and I view therapy as a collaborative process in which your voice and experiences are always important.

I understand that reaching out to a therapist can feel intimidating, especially if you are new to therapy or uncertain about where to begin. You don't need to have all the answers or know exactly what you want to work on before our first session. My hope is that you feel seen, heard, and supported as we work together to navigate challenges, strengthen your relationships, and create meaningful change. Whether you're coming to therapy on your own or with your partner, you deserve a space where growth, understanding, and connection can begin.
