About me
Experienced LCSW specializing in chronic pain recovery. I utilize evidence-based tools like PRT and EMDR to help clients reduce chronic symptoms, process trauma, and return to the activities they love."
Living with chronic pain or persistent physical symptoms can feel like an exhausting, uphill battle—especially when traditional medical answers fall short. If you feel like your body has become an unreliable partner, I am here to help you change that narrative.
With years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I specialize in the intersection of mind and body. My approach is rooted in the understanding that the brain and nervous system play a central role in how we experience physical sensations. I help clients move from a state of "survival mode" back into a life of purpose and movement.
My Specializations
I utilize a combination of two powerful, evidence-based modalities to facilitate healing:
Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT): We work together to "unlearn" chronic pain by retraining the brain to interpret safe signals from the body correctly. This is particularly effective for those dealing with neuroplastic pain, fibromyalgia, and other chronic fatigue or tension symptoms.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing): Chronic illness and pain are often intertwined with past trauma or the "medical trauma" of the symptoms themselves. EMDR helps process these underlying stressors, calming the nervous system and reducing the emotional charge that often fuels physical discomfort.
My Approach
I believe therapy is a collaborative partnership. My goal is to provide you with the education and tangible tools you need to become the expert on your own nervous system. We won’t just talk about the symptoms; we will work actively to shift your physiological response to them.
Whether you are just beginning to explore the mind-body connection or have been searching for relief for years, I offer a safe, non-judgmental space to explore your path toward recovery.
I look forward to helping you reclaim your life from chronic symptoms.
