About me
Nandi is a compassionate, genuine, creative, and knowledgeable therapist who is dedicated to helping you cultivate self-love, change, and positivity in your life.
The human mind is a construct that has been studied for centuries. We now know that many factors are involved in the way that we think, act, and feel. Nandi has always been fascinated with the connection between our mind, body, and energy that surrounds us, this last component referring to the energy delivered by our environment, culture, society, and close relationships.
Nandi is a bilingual (English & Spanish), Licensed Associate Counselor and she has worked in a variety of settings over the past ten years that include community behavioral health agencies, health clinics, schools, and correctional facilities. Nandi and her colleagues have published research regarding the relationship between sleep and depression in patients diagnosed with cancer. Additionally, she recently concluded a second study that evaluated the effectiveness of the delivery of short term counseling services to prevent depression in women recently diagnosed with breast cancer.
Nandi acknowledges that everyone is unique and has a different personality and life story. She will develop a treatment plan and draw different skills and techniques from evidence-based approaches centered on your specific needs. These include but aren’t limited to Cognitive-Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness, Clinical Hypnosis-Based Techniques, Interpersonal Counseling, Gestalt, Motivational Interviewing, Psychoanalysis, Talk-Therapy, and Art Therapy, Psychodrama & Music, and much more.
