About me

Have you been struggling with depression, anxiety, or mood swings? Do you often feel angry or irritable, almost as if your emotions are out of control? Perhaps small provocations evoke a strong reaction. Have you found yourself repeatedly involved in unsatisfying, perhaps toxic, relationships, or have been feeling overwhelmed with caregiving, parenting, or job responsibilities? You might also be wondering if aspects of your early relationships with significant caregivers are contributing to your current distress.

If you feel hopeless or discouraged and nothing you have tried so far has helped, I want you to know that it doesn’t have to be like this. Please be assured that you don’t have to go through this alone; we can work together so that you can be the person you want to be and live your best life. Healing is possible, and life can feel more satisfying!

Treatment is trauma-informed, focused on welling, healing and growth, and personalized to each client's unique goals and values. Exploring your thoughts, feelings, experiences, and influences from your past, I will help you gain insight, shift patterns that have been keeping you from reaching your goals, and acquire new coping strategies so that you move closer toward the life you want to live.

Warm, kind and non-judgmental, I help college-aged and adult clients feel more in control of their emotions and lives. My training in EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, CBT and the Biology of Trauma allows us to explore how your thoughts influence your emotions and behaviors and then work with the mind-body connection to help you feel more stable and confident. An examination of both your early and current relationship patterns can help us to determine whether you might have experienced childhood emotional neglect or antagonistic relational stress, and work toward resolution of its long - lasting impacts. As a former attorney, I have insight into the challenges presented by jobs which involve high stress and long hours. And as a mom and caregiver for an elderly parent, I understand how difficult it can be to care for the important people in your life while also caring for yourself.

Let me help you make positive changes in your life - schedule a free consultation today!
