About me
Led by Dr. Nadya Leavitt, Leavitt Marriage and Family Therapy offers accessible, insurance-covered mental health care for a diverse community. Our team provides evidence-based treatments—including CBT, DBT, EMDR, and hypnotherapy—for children, adults, couples, and families.
At Leavitt Marriage and Family Therapy, Dr. Nadya Leavitt and her team are dedicated to providing high-quality, accessible, and culturally responsive mental health care for kids, adults, couples, and families. We believe that effective therapy is not just about symptom relief—it’s about helping people understand themselves more deeply, heal from past experiences, and build meaningful, lasting change in their lives.
Our mission is to make professional mental health services available to a diverse clientele, offering evidence-based and specialized treatment approaches that are both affordable and covered by most major insurance plans. We understand that finding the right therapist can be an overwhelming process, and we aim to make that journey easier by offering compassionate, skilled clinicians who bring expertise, authenticity, and respect to every session.
We believe that therapy should never feel one-size-fits-all. Each client who comes to us is matched with a therapist whose expertise, personality, and therapeutic approach fit their needs. Our clinicians integrate a wide range of modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Brainspotting, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Hypnotherapy, Psychoanalysis, and Family Systems Therapy. These methods are combined thoughtfully and flexibly to help clients achieve lasting results rather than short-term fixes.
At Leavitt MFT, we work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. For children and teens, therapy often focuses on emotional regulation, school challenges, family relationships, and identity development. Adults come to us seeking support with anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, or personal growth. We help couples strengthen communication, rebuild trust, and restore emotional intimacy, while family therapy addresses generational patterns, conflict, and the challenges of parenting. Across all of these areas, we maintain a trauma-informed and holistic perspective—understanding that emotional pain often manifests physically and that healing requires attention to both the mind and body.
At its core, our practice remains grounded in one simple mission: to provide therapy that makes a difference. We are proud to serve a wide and diverse community and to stand as a trusted partner in mental health care—helping individuals, couples, and families not only heal but thrive.
