About me
Hi my name is Nadirah, I have been working in the counseling field for more than 10 years. The work settings vary from schools to rehab facilities to agencies. I often think about the things that we spend time trying to preserve ( homes, cars, our yards, physical fitness and appearance) but what about your mental health? If we don't take care of our mind, everything else is negligible. Somehow, this aspect of our life is often looked at lastly, because it can wait, right? Perhaps, but perhaps not, and by the time you realize there's something wrong, it may be too far away from you. Being proactive about your mental health is the best option, just as you care about your material possessions, your mental health is the most valuable asset you possess. Are you taking care of your mental health? Are your goals realistic and obtainable?
The story of life and survival can become overwhelming. Bills, relationships, jobs, and just interacting with others can be taxing to say the least. How can I make it work? How can you make it something that is good, a life that fits? As your counselor, I will work towards helping you answer some of these questions and build on creating realistic expectations. Counselors advocate for their clients to stay on track for finding goals and objectives that will result in positive outcomes. Take control of your life and lead yourself where you would like to be now and in the future.
