About me
For the last 27 years, I have maintained a private practice, providing quality, clinical care to many people. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I started my career as a clinician at a drug rehabilitation clinic in Salt Lake City called Project Reality. That was a great foundational experience that led to a hybrid clinical/manager role at Denver Health’s Outpatient Behavioral Health Services clinic where I conducted individual and group therapy sessions and supervised a team of five other clinicians. My experience at Denver Health caught the attention of administrators at Denver’s Department of Child Welfare and I was hired to manage the contracting process with local behavioral health agencies and provide clinical consultation to child welfare case workers. An exciting opportunity to lead the Denver Office of Drug Strategy then presented itself and I was hired to lead that incredible group of city staff and community professionals. After three years of leading this office and achieving great success, it was merged with the new Denver Office of Behavioral Health Strategies, where I continued my work of community engagement around behavioral health-related issues.
