Myia Kramer is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist practicing in the Greater Sacramento Area. With a career in therapy that began in 2007, Myia has extensive experience, initially working in community agencies providing Wraparound services to high-risk children and adolescents with complex mental health needs.
JET Programme Experience
Before her work in the United States, Myia spent three years teaching English to high school students in Japan as part of the JET Programme (Japanese Exchange Teachers Programme).
Professional Journey
Upon returning to the U.S. in 2012, Myia completed her licensure hours and advanced her career as the Clinical Program Manager for a Northern California county, focusing on patients with severe mental health and dual diagnosis needs. She now manages an Addiction Medicine Program.
Passion for the BIPOC Community
Myia is deeply committed to supporting the BIPOC community, with a particular focus on women of color, families, and teens. She employs a variety of treatment modalities tailored to the specific needs and abilities of each client.
Community Involvement and Advocacy
Myia serves on the Board of Directors for a community agency dedicated to engaging youth, families, and the elderly. She is also a frequent presenter on mental health issues for community groups and professional organizations.
