About me
I earned my degrees in Psychology and Clinical Mental Health Counseling from DePaul University, where my academic and clinical work focused on intersectional identity, resilience, and pathways to healing. I am a published contributor to the Journal of LGBTQ Issues in Counseling, with research centered on minority stress, inherent strengths within marginalized communities, and the role of creative expression in recovery. My work is informed not only by research and theory, but also by deep respect for the wisdom clients already carry.
I bring over six years of experience working across private practice, national mental health organizations, and crisis intervention settings. This background allows me to support clients through both acute stressors and long-term therapeutic work, while remaining flexible, grounded, and attuned to safety and stability. I approach therapy with curiosity, compassion, and a strong commitment to ethical, culturally responsive care.
The heart of my work is helping clients move from survival mode into a life grounded in authenticity, self-acceptance, and empowerment. I value genuine connection and bring warmth, honesty, and humor into the therapy space. My goal is to create an environment where you feel truly seen, supported, and safe enough to face your fears—and to reclaim your life.
Over the past six years, I’ve worked in private practice, national mental health organizations, and crisis intervention settings. My integrative, evidence-based approach draws from ACT, CBT, DBT, and ERP. I support individuals navigating OCD, social anxiety, phobias religious trauma, and long-standing patterns of people-pleasing or self-silencing.
Ideal clients are adults who feel stuck in survival mode—often high-functioning on the outside and internally anxious, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves. Many are navigating OCD, social anxiety, phobias, religious trauma, or hard patterns of people-pleasing and self-silencing. They may hold marginalized identities and feel the weight of minority stress, internalized shame, or pressure to conform. What they want is relief, clarity, and permission to live more authentically. Their goal is not just symptom reduction, to reclaim choice, trust their inner voice, and build a life of self-acceptance, agency, and connection.
