About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides affirming, trauma-informed care to adults clients. My clinical work focuses on LGBTQIA+ populations, trauma, and personality disorders. As a queer-affirming and feminist clinician,I am passionate about creating spaces where clients feel seen, understood, and empowered to grow authentically.

Hello! I am Murphy Hall (she/her), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Indiana and a Licensed Master Social Worker in Michigan, who provides affirming, trauma-informed therapy to adults navigating identity, emotion regulation & healing from painful experiences. I also offer virtual, weekly, individual clinical supervision in both Indiana and Michigan.

I specialize in working with the following clients/diagnoses:
-LGBTQIA+ folx who are exploring sexuality, gender identity, & the impact of minority stress. I am queer identified & feel this adds to my practice. My work is grounded in respect, curiosity & a deep belief that your identity is not something to be "fixed" but understood and honored.
-Personality Disorders - I have extensive history working with individuals who have been diagnosed with personality disorders, or personality disorder traits such as difficulty regulating emotions, managing distress, and navigating interpersonal relationships. I have specialized training in working with individuals who have been abused by people who have narcissistic and antagonistic traits.

I integrate a range of evidence-based modalities, including:
-Dialectical Behavior Therapy
-Prolonged Exposure
-Cognitive Processing Therapy
-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
-Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
-Motivational Interviewing
I draw from these approaches flexibly, depending on your goals, strengths & readiness for change.

I identify as a progressive therapist & place strong emphasis on creating a secure, collaborative therapeutic relationship. I believe healing happens within the safety of a trusting bond, where clients feel seen, respected, & empowered. I am a member of the NASW and promote the values and ethics of social work.
