About me
As a mental health therapist, I strive to walk alongside individuals on their journey toward healing, clarity, and emotional balance—offering support that meets you where you are.
Jade Marie Nesbitt, LCSW-C, is a licensed clinical social worker who earned her Master of Social Work from Morgan State University. She was named a 2018–2019 Annie E. Casey Foundation–Morgan State Urban Social Work Scholar and has experience in community-based mental health research, including studies on alternative therapies and medication adherence among adults living with chronic conditions.
Jade specializes in working with college students and young adults as they navigate transitions, manage stress, explore their identities, and cope with challenges like anxiety and depression. Her approach to therapy is collaborative and supportive, using evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help students build practical tools for mental and emotional wellness.
With a background in disability advocacy and equity in higher education, Jade understands the unique pressures college students face, especially those balancing academics with personal, social, or cultural challenges. She also brings a global perspective to her work through her involvement with international education initiatives in Guatemala, El Salvador, South America, and Spain.
Outside of her work, Jade enjoys cooking, hiking, camping, exploring new cultures through food and travel, and spending time with her dog.
