About me
I am a warm, collaborative therapists who works with high-functioning adults and young adults to understand and break recurring patterns that fuel anxiety, self-doubt, and relational stress.
You might be highly capable, successful, or driven, yet still feel stuck in patterns that fuel anxiety, self-doubt, or relational stress. You may find yourself overthinking, people-pleasing, or repeating the same emotional or relational patterns despite your best efforts. I provide a space where you can feel seen and understood while also working toward practical, meaningful change.
I grew up in the South Bronx, and my experiences as a first-generation Latinx child of immigrants have shaped how I view mental health, identity, and resilience. Early in my career, I worked at a neuropsychology clinic serving primarily Latinx families in Washington Heights. There, I witnessed how trauma, systemic inequities, and family dynamics impacted children’s learning and emotional well-being. I also saw firsthand how therapy could address underlying challenges, even in families facing multiple stressors. This experience strengthened my commitment to culturally aware, trauma-informed care and shaped the perspective I bring to my private practice today.
In my private practice, I work with adolescents, young adults, and professionals who often present as high-functioning but feel anxious, stuck, or disconnected. Many come seeking to understand why certain patterns repeat in their thoughts, behaviors, or relationships, and how to shift them. I blend schema therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and attachment-informed strategies to explore the roots of long-standing patterns while providing practical tools to respond differently. Therapy with me is both reflective and actionable: we explore the “why” behind your patterns while practicing strategies that can help you navigate daily life more effectively.
You can expect a warm, collaborative space where honesty, curiosity, and growth are prioritized. I balance support and warmth with gentle challenge, helping you notice old patterns, question assumptions, and experiment with new ways of thinking, coping, and relating. My focus is on creating tangible, actionable change rather than indefinite therapy, helping you develop skills and insights you can carry into work, relationships, and personal life.
Cultural awareness, advocacy, and equity are central to my practice. I attend closely to how your background, family, culture, and social context shape your experiences, while supporting you in navigating pressures and systemic barriers that may contribute to distress. Whether it’s professional stress, relational challenges, or cultural expectations, I help you understand the patterns at play and develop strategies that truly fit your life.
Starting therapy can feel daunting, but it can also be an opportunity to explore what has been holding you back, break patterns that no longer serve you, and build a stronger sense of confidence, self-understanding, and connection with others. If you’re ready to explore your patterns, experiment with new approaches, and work toward meaningful change, feel free to reach out. I’d be glad to support you in this work.
